Financial practice
Every award carries a budget reviewed line by line. Overheads are funded, not squeezed, and variance is discussed rather than penalised.
Annual reporting
Each year we publish what we funded, what it cost to run the Foundation, what we learned, and what we would change.
Governance
Decisions above delegated limits go to the board. Conflicts are declared before assessment and recorded in the decision file.
Policies
Privacy, terms, accessibility, safeguarding, conflict of interest, whistleblowing and retention are all published.
Disclosures
Material changes to programmes, paused grants and safeguarding actions are disclosed, subject to the privacy of the people involved.
Impact methodology
One story structure, named sources for every figure, grantee sign-off before publication, and failures written up in the same format.
Complaints and appeals
Unsuccessful applicants may request written feedback and may appeal on process grounds. Appeals are reviewed by someone outside the original panel.
