What each policy commits us to
Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
- We collect only what an application, an account or a message requires.
- Application data is used to assess your application and to meet our record-keeping obligations. It is not sold or used for advertising.
- You can request a copy of your data, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete an account and its associated drafts.
Terms of Use
The conditions under which this site and platform may be used.
- You may browse the site freely; an account is required only to save opportunities, apply and track applications.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit and for the security of your account credentials.
- We may suspend an account used to submit fraudulent or abusive material.
Accessibility Statement
We build to WCAG 2.1 AA and treat access failures as defects.
- The site is designed for keyboard navigation, screen readers, resized text and reduced-motion preferences.
- Colour is never the only way information is conveyed, and interactive elements carry visible focus states.
- If any part of the site or application process creates a barrier for you, tell us and we will provide the same service by another route.
Cookie Policy
Essential cookies only, with no advertising trackers.
- We use cookies necessary for sign-in, security and saving your place in an application.
- We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- Any analytics we use are aggregate and cannot identify an individual applicant.
Data Protection
How applicant and grantee data is stored and handled.
- Data is stored with access limited to the people who need it for assessment, administration or monitoring.
- Reviewers see the material relevant to their assessment and nothing beyond it.
- We keep a record of who accessed application data and when.
Applicant Terms
What applicants can expect from us, and what we expect in return.
- Assessment criteria, review stages and decision timelines are published before an opportunity opens and do not change while it is open.
- Submitting an application never guarantees funding, and unsuccessful applicants may request written feedback.
- Applications must describe work you have the authority and capacity to deliver.
Funding Terms
The standard conditions attached to an award.
- Funds are used for the purpose described in the approved proposal and budget.
- Material changes to scope, timeline or budget are agreed with us in writing; we expect to be told early rather than at report time.
- Reporting is proportionate to the size of the award, and unspent funds are discussed rather than automatically reclaimed.
Conflict of Interest Policy
How we identify and manage conflicts in decision-making.
- Staff, reviewers and board members declare interests before any assessment begins.
- Anyone with a personal, financial or professional interest in an applicant withdraws from that decision entirely.
- Declarations and recusals are recorded in the decision file.
Safeguarding
Protecting the people that funded work involves.
- Applicants working with children or at-risk adults must have their own safeguarding policy and named responsible person.
- Safeguarding concerns are acted on immediately and are never a reason to delay reporting to relevant authorities.
- We may pause or end funding where safeguarding obligations are not met.
Whistleblowing / Reporting
How to raise a concern about us or about funded work.
- Concerns can be raised through the contact page and are handled confidentially.
- We do not retaliate against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
- Serious concerns are escalated to the board and, where required, to external authorities.
Records Retention
How long we keep what we hold.
- Unsuccessful applications are retained for the period needed to answer appeals and audits, then deleted.
- Award records are retained for the life of the grant plus the period required for financial and legal compliance.
- Account holders may delete drafts and account data at any time, subject to those obligations.
